According to his wife, he died in his bed later in the night while waiting to be moved to another location. Ta Mok claimed that his death was due to heart failure. Despite government requests to inspect the body, it was cremated a few days later at Anlong Veng in the Khmer Rouge zone, raising suspicions that he committed suicide.
One of only three tank depots in the entire country, approximately 49,000 jeeps were assembled and 91,000 other military vehicles were processed here. Ford employed thousands of workers at the site during World War II, many of them women who were entering the work force for the first time. "Rosie the Riveter" was a period song representing these women.

In mobilizing the wartime production effort to its full potential, Federal military authorities and private industry began to work closely together on a scale never seen before in American history. This laid the groundwork for what became known as the "military-industrial complex" during the Cold War years.

Noted architect Albert Kahn is credited with the design of the Ford plant in Richmond. After World War II, Ford moved its Northern California factory to Milpitas, where it became known as the San Jose Assembly Plant.

In 1989, the Loma Prieta earthquake severely damaged the plant. At the present time, the City of Richmond has repaired and prepared the Ford Assembly building for rehabilitation. A developer has been selected and portions of the building will soon be accessible to the public. Upon completion of the rehabilitation, the Visitor Center for Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park will relocate into this building.

One year before his death Martin Luther King delivered Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence. In the speech he spoke strongly against the U.S.'s role in the war, insisting that the U.S. was in Vietnam "to occupy it as an American colony" and calling the U.S. government "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today."
April 4, 1967. Riverside Church Speech:
One year before his death Martin Luther King delivered Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence. In the speech he spoke strongly against the U.S.'s role in the war, insisting that the U.S. was in Vietnam "to occupy it as an American colony" and calling the U.S. government "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today."
The Normans built the original fort in the mid-1300s; later a castle was built on the site. This castle formed part of the defences of the town during the siege of Drogheda during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland in 1649.
In the beginning of the 19th century, the old castle was demolished and the present tower was built. The fort suffered considerable damage during the Irish Civil War. Only ruins remain of this fortress today.

According to Hamdollah Mostowfi, the fortress was built in 840 at an elevation of 2,100 m. It was built in a way that had only one passable artificial entrance that wound its way around the cliff face (the one natural approach, a steep gravel slope, was too dangerous to use); thus making conquering the fortress extremely difficult. The fort had an unusual system of water supply. The top was extremely narrow and long — perhaps 400 meters long, and no more than 30 meters wide in any place, and usually less.
In 1090 the fortress was infiltrated and occupied by the powerful Ismaili sect of Shia Islam (known to the West by the nickname Hashshashin or Assassins), and was then fabled for its gardens and libraries. On November 21, 1980 an oil drilling crew punctured the top of an underground salt dome of the Blue Diamond salt mine.
A giant whirlpool formed. It swallowed another nearby drilling platform whole, as well as a barge loading dock, 70 acres of soil from Jefferson Island, trucks, trees, structures, and a parking lot. After hiking the Stampede Trail McCandless found an abandoned bus parked on an overgrown section of the trail near Denali National Park and began his attempt to live off the land. "One evening I was walking out along a mountain road near Christiania [now Oslo] - together with two companions... the Sun went down ... it was as if a flaming sword of blood slashed open the vault of heaven - the atmosphere turned to blood with glaring tongues of fire - the hills became deep blue the ford shaded into cold blue - among the yellow and red colors - that garish blood-red - on the road - and the railing - my companions' faces became yellow-white - I felt something like a great scream - and truly I heard a great scream."
By studying the perspective of the cliff and the distinctive round hill on Hovedo island, we could determine Munch's position with remarkable precision, within a few meters. This viewpoint is 100 meters from the modern tunnel portals where the E6 motorway passes through the Ekeberg hill, measured in the direction toward the intersection where Mosseveien joins with the E18 motorway. From this spot, Munch's direction of view in the drawing was toward the southwest exactly where the Krakatoa twilights appeared in the winter of 1883-84.

The American Bantam Car Company actually built and designed the vehicle that first met the Army's criteria, but its engine did not meet the Army's torque requirements. Plus, the Army felt that the company was too small to supply the number needed and it allowed Willys and Ford to make second attempts on their designs after seeing Bantam's vehicle in action. Some people believe that Ford and Willys also had access to Bantam's technical paperwork."
