My grandfather worked and retired from there from 40s to 60s, after working as Treasury/Govt Auditor through various contractors and incarnations. He lived in home right across the street, and I remember every time I would visit I would run across the street and climb onto missile mock-ups in front of main building. Sometimes we would sit on his front porch and hear the engines, and watch the engines firing at night! I remember Rocketdyne, Hercules, in/around 60s-70s-80s

What a find... all you who lived in Naples in the '60's. I was there from Sept. 1060 - Sept 1963. 3rd grade through 5th. Forrest Sherman. Mrs. Siegal 3rd. Miss DiBiasse 4th. Mr. Chambers 5th. We lived on Via Possillipo. I could see both Vesuvius and Capri from our apartment. Hardly ever saw another American each summer. Could speak a mix of Italian and Neapolitan quite well after a short while. Nothing but the best memories of my life come from that time.

And I can tell you from experience that for me, the single most expensive part of my occasional three week trips to Italy is the air fare, you really can see and eat your way through Italy without breaking the bank. Stay at the hotels the locals stay at, eat at the restaurants the locals eat at, and avoid the tourist traps. It can be done!
