For all /view/ pages, the Bing Maps control was updated from v6.3 to v7. This was due to reports of the old control not working in IE browsers.
The new v7 control should load faster, and be more supported by Microsoft/Bing.
If you see any issues, please let me know.

Problem in VGT Viewer. Bing direct view is OK.
Zoom level is incorrect.
Tilted view, aka BEV, selected by default even on Aerial view maps. Example: http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/saint-elijahs-monastery/view/bing/

Street names are shown automatically. That was only an option , not automatically.
Also BEV maps aren't displayed in the "correct" direction anymore, it's always north.

Those examples are working now. I had a bug with setting the heading, and the other ones weren't working because the zoom had a decimal in it, i.e. 19.34.
Looking at more maps, but haven't found any other issues let. Let me know if you find anything else.

So is there a way to fix the direction issue? As I said all BEV maps head north now, most differ from their respective thumbnails.

Unfortunately I had to roll SDK 7 back to SDK 6 due to a licensing issue with Bing. Currently working with them to resolve that.
Then yes, I'll make sure the direction issue is fixed as well!

For what it's worth, Bing Maps is now using the v7.0 (and soon v8.0) control, and the map direction should be correct.
Please let me know if there are any issues with Bing Maps going forward.
