With the different views available in LiveLocal, namely satellite and aerial, should I wait for a first thumbnail to be accepted before submitting a second thumbnail?
I'd almost think maybe there needs to be even more thumbnail types.

More thumbnail types are on the todo.
Go ahead and submit multiple thumbs at any time.
I will pick the better looking thumb (my subjective call) and make it default unless you state a preference in your comments or decsription (I'll edit your comment out after editing.) I think nic, TexasAndroid and AlbinoFlea are doing that the same way too.
