Yahoo Maps plays catch-up

Yahoo Maps now has a beta AJAX tool with satellite images. BoingBoing reports of at least one spot where Yahoo's res trumps GM's.

I sense a new thumbnail type coming.

Also, I see why GM now has a little "inset view" in the corner -- the Yahoo map has the same thing.
