dda has reported problems with existing maps submitted with Bird's Eye View URLs in Local Live.
Here is an example URL: planes in formation
When I click on it I get a well centered image of the four planes in formation.
I HAVE noticed that no matter what I do with the new URLs they always seem to result in a link that is zoomed all the way in but I haven't played with it enough to see if that is adjustable.
I also haven't played with the fields inthe URL to see what can be left out.
(I miss AlbinoFlea, he was a genius at this stuff.)
Has anyone else seen anomolies? What do you see when you click on the URL above?

Fitz, your link goes to the thumbnail.

I see the planes just fine.

When I choose the LL view from here, I see the map view. And if I click on the BEV icon (I found it), orientation is wrong. North instead South
I'm a mac user, and LL only work on Firefox.

When I load http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/25759/ in Firefox I see the full BEV view in its Western view. When I load it in Internet Explorer I see the default Northern view. When I start messing with the fields in the URL it jumps to the new Microsoft Active X application/simulation of Google Earth. Others have said it goes straight to the map view.
I'm going to have to say that this is not a VGT issue and that we'll have to see if this is something that Microsoft cleans up in the next update. Anyone see any discussion anywhere on the web about these problems?
