Why was this map removed? No explanation?

Was the map removed? The message you quoted is that a link was removed. We have an automated process scanning all More Info links looking for dead ones and deleting them.
I just clicked on that link you posted and it took me to a page that said:

Seems like a valid deletion. Do you go to a legit page when you click on it? Maybe you have an old cached version?

This was a map I submitted several YEARS ago. It was removed with no explanation on 14 Jan 14.
Of course the link is no good, the map was removed (after several years).

Hi jbottero,
I've restored the map. I'm not sure why it was deleted. I'm sure it wasn't maliciously done. I'm sorry that it caused you so much stress.
Can you please update the thumbnail to reflect the current imagery?
