I worked on that final clue for about an hour or so. I started with "Lunar" (lakes, rivers, etc.). No luck, so I went to the Moon page on Wikipedia, where I was reminded of it's Latin name.
At first, I would have put money on it being in the northwest. I searched through many similar looking areas in Washington/Oregon/California. This was a tough one without that last clue.
