No, I don't want lots of lo res submissions. I used those as examples.
I also don't want any more Google Earth only submissions. If you are using Google Earth to look for cool sites be aware that not all sites in that you find in Google Earth will be in high res in Google Maps. If you submit a high res thumbnail to something that shows up as lo res in Google Maps it is just going to get deleted.
It is also the culture around here to do a little research on that which you submit. Sure you could just submit a thousand "here's a city", "here's a school", "here's a building that might be a hospital", "Here some unidentified beach", etc. you may score points in the contest but it really isn't in the spirit of this site.
Look at any category and look through previous submissions. There just aren't a lot of these generic postings. Sure there are a few but by and large most submissions are fairly well researched if only by name in the title.
We can all have fun competing in the contest while at the same time increasing the value of the site for the whole user community.
