Description: This huge rust red pigment factory dominates the skyline in the tragically economically depressed East St. Louis area. I had seen this on the satellite images while pursuing one of my pastimes, looking at urban ruins. I actually got to drive by this place on my way from St. Louis to Scott Air Force Base, and it’s a very impressive complex in a very scary deserted town. By the way, East St. Louis is across the river from St. Louis, in Illinois.
