It isn'y abandoned, it's one of the original bordercrossings from before 1989, the . Today they use more the new one called Neue Teilung, than this one.

Some misunderstanding: all border crossing points within the Schengen zone are kind of abandoned, nobody's there, the buildings are dilapidating. That's what I mean.
