The Science Place Planetarium, located on the Fair Park campus, serves as an astronomy and space science education resource center and is the only public planetarium in Dallas. The planetarium offers a variety of shows to the public--preschool through senior citizens--and presents continuous live images of the latest space missions through NASA Select TV.

The Science Place Planetarium was permanently closed Oct 21 2012 along with the IMAX theater.

This planetarium was closed permanently on October 21, 2012.
Dallas has no public planetarium now. I was the staff member responsible
for dismantling it and disposing of the assets.
