Is this actually the RAF base? In LL it looks like a grand avenue of trees and a manor house that probably pre-dates air travel. |

Yeah, Akeman Street was a 'relief landing ground' for RAF Little Rissington. Not really a full RAF base. Probably just a grass strip or two. The alee and obelisk are part of Blenheim Palace. http://www.blenheimpalace.com/index.html |
