Villa La Vigie (Birds Eye)
Villa La Vigie is today the property of the French engineer, politician, and senator Émile Crozet-Fourneyron's heirs. The senator had the villa constructed in 1898. It neighbours the famous Villa Maryland, today the property of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, and it too is featured on this website.

I remember seeing this house and asking about it from a local. They referred to it as the Singer Mansion. As in Singer sewing machine. I've googled around though and can't fin d anything to back that up. It really does dominate the view from the harbor though.

The only property I know of that has anything to do with the Singer Sewing Machine family is Daisy Fellowes' house in nearby Roquebrune Cap Martin.

Great find, this villa is called Les Cèdres, built for King Leopold II of Belgium, purchased in 1924 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle.

I stayed in the guest house on the premise in 1988. It was remarkable. Great memories
