jbottero's picture I guess it *might* be an IED attack, though I'd like some supporting documentation. Thing is, I don't see much evidence of convoy traffic. Could just be a car fire.

Pdunn's picture You're right, it could be a car fire. However, in a city where they have dozens of IED in a day, chances are high that the aftermath of one of them would be vissible by a passing satellite. Many IEDs, if not most, have hit civilians.

Pdunn's picture By the number of spectators visible on both sides of the road and up and down the street, I think chances are it was indeed an IED. However, a flaming car of any sort also tends to draw crowds. If you look two to three car lengths ahead of the flaming car, I think you can see damage to the road, although the evidence is not conclusive.
