Prestolee Aqueduct

Description:

Prestolee Aqueduct over the river Irwell on defunct Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal. There was originally series of locks (Nob End Locks) leading NE from pool at the western end of the aqueduct but these are now gone back to the nature with only some stonework remaining.
