Alongside railroad tracks, a brush fire burns in a rural area. Google Earth dates this image as April 2, 2013. The region suffered a severe drought in 2012-13 that did not subside until late spring of 2013.

Depending on how much those tracks are used I wouldn't be surprised if it was caused form a passing train from possibly breaking, happens a lot around tracks.
