This was the final home of the late television host and comedian Johnny Carson. The estate was built by architect Ed Niles in 1978 and is located in the Point Dume neighborhood in Malibu. Carson bought the house for $9.5 Million in 1984 and resided here until his death in 2005. His widow Alexis Carson sold the estate in 2007 for $36.5 Million to producer Sidney Kimmel who sold the estate in 2020 for $40 Million to Riaz Valani, the low-profile Silicon Valley veteran who amassed a fortune as the very first investor in Juul, an e-cigarette company.
