Dockwise Vanguard is a semi-submersible heavy lift ship capable of carrying cargoes up to 110,000 tonnes. It is the largest vessel of its type ever built. In addition to carrying ships and offshore oil and gas rigs, it can also serve as an offshore dry dock.

This satellite photo captured the Vanguard at the Hyundai shipbuilding yard after it was launched on October 7, 2012, but before it was christened on November 30, 2012.

It is currently scheduled to carry the infamous Costa Concordia shipwreck to a scrap yard.
