It was here at the Norwegian Ski Museum the Olympic Flame was lit for a Winter Olympic Games. The flame was then transported to Bislett Stadium in Oslo. 1956 and on it was then lit in Olympia/Greece.

After the games the Cauldron was moved to the Ski Museum.
