Description: Part of Fort Crocket the underground portions of the fort/bunker (Battery Hoskins) now form the emergency bunker for the goverment of Galveston where the mayor, police chief, fire cheif, and their staffs weather hurricaines.

There is another one on the north end of the hotel facing the water. The hotel sits on the site of the bunker itself.
