Description:August 26, 1991 – Downers Grove, Illinois: Mary T. Wojtyla, 41, of Chicago died when she stepped in front of a westbound Metra EMD E9 pulling a "Racetrack" express train, estimated to be traveling at 60 miles per hour. The accident occurred at the? Fairview Avenue grade crossing/Fairview Station. She crossed the center track and was struck and killed instantly.
