Description:No injuries are reported today morning after an attempt to string two trains together in Denver ended in a heap of twisted steel -- and spilled beer and asphalt.

The accident happened before dawn today north of Coors Field.

BNSF's general director of public affairs, Steve Forsberg, says crews were trying to assemble two strings of train cars into one train for a later departure when they lost control of 34 of the cars.

Those cars rolled down a hill and hit two parked locomotives.

At least one tanker car carrying Coors beer toppled over and started spilling its contents in the yard. Another car containing asphalt was also damaged, causing it to leak as well.

Initial cleanup could take eight to ten hours. An investigation is under way.
