Description: The Texas Medical Center includes 42 member institutions and that includes 11 educational institutions (Rice U. is the NW corner of the thumbnail). The thumbnail includes quite a bit of non-TMC acreage because of the sprawling nature of the TMC. The Houston Zoological Gardens within Hermann Park are on the NE quadrant of the thumbnail. Some TMC members are out of the range of the thumbnail.
