John C. Malone is a billionaire media mogul. He is the Chairman and majority owner of Liberty Media, which owns the Atlanta Braves and QVC. In May 2011, Malone began an effort to acquire the bookstore chain Barnes & Noble from fellow Wellington equestrian, Leonard Riggio. Malone also owns land equivalent to 2 Delawares, making him the largest private land owner in the country. His reported net worth in 2012 was $5.1 billion.
