Description: This is runway 30/13 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, more commonly known as the "Skid Strip". The Navaho winged missile that was being tested at the Cape used the Skid Strip both as a landing site (to recover the X-10 missile body launched from Complex 9), and a launch site (three X-10 drone launches in support of the BOMARC program). It is now used to support Pegasus launches. In addition, the Strip is sometimes used for takeoffs and landing of aircraft.
