Description: The Reactor Maintenance, Assembly, and Disassembly facility (R-MAD) is part of the Nuclear Rocket Development Area (NRDA). Here, projects like Rover and NERVA were undertaken to develop nuclear-powered rockets for space travel. As the name implies, the R-MAD was used for maintenance operations on the reactor that powered the engines.
