The dolmen lies in a field in front of a small farm. The site is clearly visible from the nearby road and remains in good condition. The barrow embankment, dolmen and the stones surrounding the barrow are all intact to this day. The dolmen is thought to have been constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC.

The dolmen is one of several within the area. All dolmens and barrows are protected.
