That ferro-cement boat was buillt for the army during WWI, and is still intact. The two next to it are the hulks of the Dover and Ashland. Behind them is the Fort Scott. There are barges, a yacht, and ocean rescure tug in the mix, all WWI eara.

The three large vessels are retired 19th century wooden, sailed, cargo ships which brought fruit from the Caribbean to Baltimore and returned refined sugar and fertilizer to the Caribbean. They were run aground in the 1910's and 20's after more efficient steam vessels became the standard. During the great depression the ships were completely salvaged above the waterline for fire wood and metals by poor Baltimorean's striving to survive.
