The club first opened in 1967 and closed in 2007. The club is not left abandoned and overgrown with the club house in a bad state of decay. However, a new ownership did appear in 2011, but due to challenges with a dispute between development of the land that originally had been designated as public space nothing has happened to renovate the area and re-open it.
