Description:Abraham Somer is a well known entertainment attorney and a 1962 USC Order of the Coif law school graduate, head of the music department, and now of counsel to the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp LLP, who represented A&M Records from 1965 until it was sold to Polygram for approximately $500 million in September 1989. Somer also served as a member of the board of directors and de facto counsel for business affairs for A&M Records and Rondor Music, Almo Music, and Irving Music, the music publishing companies until they were sald to Universal Music Group for about $500 million in August 2000. Somer later negotiated the most lucrative contract in rock n' roll history when he signed the Rolling Stones to a multi-album deal in 1974.
