The house was likely built at some point after 1680. It is the second oldest surviving house in Virginia Beach. Situated on Adam Keeling Road in Great Neck Point on the Lynnhaven River and is now in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. It is reputed to be the oldest continuously occupied house in Virginia.
