Adandoned Section of Road Near Balquhidder Railway Station

This section of the road is the original road outside Balquhidder Station. This section of the road was changed to reduce speed and to make the road itself wider.

The original tarmac, cats eyes, the white lines and other stuff still remain of the road. The remains of an old railway bridge that carried the railway from Balquhidder Station to Killin Junction is also visibile. The original railway cottages are also still standing, but are now private houses. The road has been blocked at both ends to prevent cars driving along it and has since become a popular place for walkers.
