Description:Werribee Sewerage Farm outside of Melbourne, Australia. This facility uses natural bacteria and decomposition in large open fields to process sewerage from Melbourne (3 million people). It’s an efficient, clean and low-cost alternative to large chemical treatment plants. Aeration jets can be seen operating in some of the fields. Surprisingly, very little smell comes from the fields.
