55 tons (the story incorrectly says 550 tons) of yellocake where recently trucked to Baghdad from here where it was flown to Diego Garcia and then shipped to Canada.

Not to be confused though with the mythical Nigerian yellow-cake in the news during the run up to the war. This uranium was acquired in the 1980s and a) was not weapons grade and b) was well known to the UN and IAEA and was being stored legally by Saddam's government. It was legally in Iraq according to international law.

The above is true, this stuff was destined for energy reactor fuel. Reports say it would have even been low grade (undesirable) for use in "dirty bombs".

All yellowcake is 'low grade'. It's unrefined. The level of refinement makes the potency.
