The old stadium opened in 1938 and the first game was between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Giants when the Giants were holding Spring Training there.

The final game was played June 9, 2008.

Construction of the new Alex Box Stadium began and that is what occupies this same site today.

As of November 2010, the new stadium is not yet seen in satellite or Bird's Eye View imagery.
