It was built by Harvey & Clarke which was an architectural firm in Florida. It included partners L. Phillips Clarke and Henry Stephen Harvey, as well as noted architect Gustav Maass.

The home is currently owned by Arma and Alexandra Andon, parents of pop artist Alec Monopoly.
