The Alhambra ( الْحَمْرَاء, romanized: Al-Ḥamrāʾ, lit. 'The Red One') is a palace and fortress complex in Granada, Andalusia. It is 1 of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and 1 of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world, in addition to containing notable examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture.

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, with boundary modifications in 1994.
