Allan M. Rudnick has over 40 years of experience in the investment management industry.

He co-founded Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management (KAR) in 1989 as Chief Investment Officer, later becoming President. During the 1990s the firm's assets grew from under $50 million to over $6.0 billion. In 2001 KAR became a subsidiary of Phoenix Insurance Company, and over the following six years he was named Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. He retired from KAR in December, 2007 and set up a multi-family investment office in Beverly Hills known as Family Offices, LLC.

Mr. Rudnick started his career in New York in 1966 as a Securities Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. and later became manager of their small-mid cap mutual fund. In 1973 he formed AMR Management Company, merged that firm into Financial Management Group (FMG), and moved from New York to Los Angeles in 1980. FMG became Bear Stearns Asset Management, and Mr. Rudnick left in 1986 to join The Pilgrim Group as Portfolio Manager of their large cap growth fund. He subsequently was named Chief Investment Officer, overseeing both equity and fixed income mutual funds.

Currently, Mr. Rudnick is a Director/Trustee of four mutual funds managed by First Pacific Advisors, LLC, a Los Angeles based investment advisor with more than $15.0 billion under management. The funds are FPA Crescent Fund, FPA Capital Fund, FPA New Income Fund and FPA International Value Fund.

Mr. Rudnick is a member of the Board of Trustees of Children's Hospital Los Angeles, as well as the CHLA Advancement and Investment Committees and also a co-chair of the Children's Fund. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Los Angeles Leadership Academy charter school in East LA, where he is a visiting instructor in economics. He is also a member of the Cedars-Sinai Investment Committee. Mr. Rudnick previously served as President of the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program, on the Trinity College Board of Fellows and the Investment Committee for the Beverly Hills School System.

Mr. Rudnick is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles, Inc. and the CFA Institute. He earned a BA in Economics from Trinity College, Hartford, CT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
