Anderson Speedway

Anderson Speedway

Anderson, Indiana (IN), US
This high-banked 1/4 mile paved oval track is the home of the annual "Little 500" sprint car race held every year the night before the Indy 500. Several divisions of stock cars race here weekly on the oval and the figure-8 circuit. Sprint cars and midgets also race here a few times per year.

In 1948, a plan to build a bowling alley on this land was scrapped after the land owner witnessed a few races at nearby tracks. On July 5, 1948, the track opened under the name Sun Valley Speedway.
