Real estate investor and businesswoman Angela Chen Sabella owns this home. She is the daughter of a Hong Kong billionaire, and her husband Anthony Tang is a director and executive officer with Bancorp and Cathay Bank. Chen-Sabella owns multiple companies and has a large property portfolio in California and abroad.

Chen-Sabella is perhaps best-known for being involved in a lengthy dispute with the City of Pasadena over the condition of the historic local YWCA building. She purchased the property in 1996 for $1.8 million but allowed it to fall into a state of disrepair, leading officials to use eminent domain to seize it from her in 2010.

She paid $1.16 million for this 3,800 sq. foot San Marino home in 1998.
