One of the Bamfords had a house on the site of the factory at Rocester. My Dad knew whoever it was and as a child back in the either late 70's/early 80's, he gave me some grain to feed his ducks with. His house was on a little Island accessed from Station Road, Rocester through a ford. There were hundreds of ducks and geese which were blocking his way across, possibly why he carried grain so he could get thru after throwing a few handfuls. ????????‍♀️ Back then he even had a Helipad on a grass hump near to the corner of one of the buildings with the giant JCB letters.
