Archaeological excavation at Campa Torres

Campa Torres was excavated in 1783, the first time by the architect Manuel Reguera González, at the request of Jovellanos, who unearthed the remains of two constructions that he thinks the source of the Aras Sestianas, a stone dedicated to Emperor Augustus. The existence of this monument links the Asturian village with Rome.
