The small town of Azaz has seen fierce fighting between Government Forces and anti-regime Rebels.

The attached photos include two images of this mosque destroyed during recent battles. Unique building shape confirms site.

Great find! I am starting to work on Syria conflict. I hope to put up some posts on damages soon. Too bad Google earth hasn't updated some new images on Syria. Got my first negative comment the other day, guessing from someone that only enjoys celebrity houses.

I don't know for sure if this is the same mosque but it seems like it. Apparently it was destroyed by the rebels, without going into religion/politics, I do find it disturbing that they seem to rejoice at destroying this mosque.
