Located on the streets of Azerbaijan's capital is this 6 km long street circuit, which hosted its first F1 race in 2016 under the title of "European Grand Prix". The race was won by German driver Nico Rosberg. The circuit is an anti-clockwise layout designed by Hermann Tilke, who has designed many of the current F1 circuits. The circuit has a total of 20 turns. It notable for having the longest straight on the calendar (as of 2016) where drivers reach a total of 360 km/h and also the narrowest section of track (7,6 m in width) on the calendar that goes right past the old city wall.
