The characteristic basilica of Oudenbosch is a real eye-catcher in the municipality of Halderberge. The architect P. Cuijpers drew his inspiration from the St Peter’s in Rome. The façade was designed by prof. ir. G. van Swaay. Building was completed in two parts after no less than 27 years in 1892. In the basilica you can admire, among other things, a special organ, a museum with many unique, valuable liturgical objects and beautiful paintings.
