The Battle of Lake Trasimene (June 24, 217 BC, April on the Julian calendar) was a Roman defeat in the Second Punic War between Carthaginians under Hannibal and the Romans under the consul Gaius Flaminius.
The Carthaginians was on the forested hills in the north, in front of the lake, while the romans move from est to west on the street that run along the shore, it was the perfect ambush
