Berlin Brandenburg Airport (IATA: BER, ICAO: EDDB) (German: Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt) is an international airport under construction, located adjacent to the current Schönefeld Airport in Schönefeld 18 km (11 mi) south of the city centre of Berlin, Germany. It is intended to replace Tegel Airport and Schönefeld Airport, and to become the single commercial airport serving Berlin and the surrounding state of Brandenburg, an area with a combined 6 million inhabitants. It is named after Willy Brandt.
