Bernard Janis began his career in Miami as a home builder and land developer in the early 1950's. Bernard and his brother and father chartered and opened Republic National Bank. Over the course of his career Bernie built over 10,000 residential homes, condominium units and apartments. He also chartered and opened Florida Savings Bank and Consumers Savings and Loan. He passed away in May 2010.
