American football coach Bill Belichick’s house is 6-building compound of cedar-shingled homes in the town of Siasconset on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The property’s value is estimated at $10 million. He began accumulating property in the 17th-century fishing village in 1979, when he bought two lots for $70,000. He built three of the buildings with his friend Mark Fredland. Two neighboring properties valued at $4 million dollars went to his former wife Debby upon their divorce.

Bill Belichick’s net worth is $60 million. His current salary is not public, though it is believed that he is the highest-paid head coach in the NFL and earns approximately $12 million per season. His last known contract extension was signed sometime before 2013.

Belichick was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1952 and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. His father, Steve, was an assistant coach for the United States Naval Academy’s football team. Bill learned about coaching by being around the Navy coaches as a child. He attended Wesleyan University, where he played football and lacrosse. He began his coaching career with the Baltimore Colts in 1975 and briefly joined the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos organizations before beginning a successful 12-year stint with the New York Giants.

Belichick is arguably the most successful NFL head coach in history, with over 200 wins, nine Super Bowl appearances and six Super Bowl championships. He also won two Super Bowls as the defensive coordinator for the Giants.

Belichick married Debby Clarke in 1997. They separated in 2004 amidst accusations of an extramarital affair between Bill and a former receptionist for the New York Giants. Belichick and Clarke divorced in 2006. They have three children: Amanda, Stephen, and Brian. Amanda is the women’s lacrosse coach at Holy Cross College. Stephen and Brian work for their father with the New England Patriots.
